New 2- storey extension to the entrance area within the existing school site, which included a new reception area and offices at ground floor and 2 new classrooms at first floor and linked to the existing 2-storey school.
The works involved demolition of the entire front section to the existing school and building a new extension to the
existing two-story building
The works include internal modifications and upgrading some areas of the existing building layout to staff office areas, and classrooms a new build extension to provide Entrance area, Waiting, Reception and new classroom.
The site was within the grounds of a live school with normal day to day operations of the school in operation such as students in close proximity to the works, parents dropping off and collection and sports activities.
All deliveries and works had to be very strictly coordinated so as not to interfere with the school operations and to ensure the health and safety of the school users were ensured.
The works include construction of these areas with new partition walls, dry-lining to existing walls, new suspended ceilings, new doors and frames, alterations to existing heating system, new hot water system, lighting, power and data installations, fire and intruder alarms, compliance with Fire Safety Certificate and DAC, new floor covering and decoration. External works are to include new drainage system, footpaths/ramps, car parking, upgrading of existing pitched roofs, new aluminium external windows and doors, fascia, soffits and gutters. New façade was also installed.
